Wenn Absolute KünstlerInnen in TV-Soaps ausstellen, ruft das nachgerade nach einem
Re-Enactment. Wie sonst sollte man späteren Generationen, die in Fernseharchiven auf
entsprechende Zeugnisse stoßen, diese Kristallisationen eines altehrwürdigen Bildes
vom Künstler gerade dort, wo sie niemand vermuten würde – in den Niederungen der
Kulturindustrieproduktion – begreiflich machen? Ihre Wahrheit und ihren tiefen Sinn
vermitteln? Zumal sich mit Hilfe der zeitgenössischen Medientechnologien in diesem
Zuge, wie hollywood schon in annette hollywood starring Regina Zirkowski zu zeigen
wusste, sowohl pointiert auf die Reflexionstiefe und den Realitätsgehalt der Szenen

How else should one make later generations, stumbling upon the evidence in television archives, understand these crystallizations of a time-honored image of the artist where no one would expect it – in the shadowy area of culture-industry production? Convey their truth and deep sense?
