In »everybodies history« greift hollywood gleichsam durch animiertes Interagieren mit Familienfilmen aus ihrer Kindheit in ihre Vergangenheit zurück, um den Riss in der Zeit zwischen » damals« und »heute« zu kitten oder um ihr lebendiges Selbst mit ihrem porträtierten Pendant zu verschmelzen. Wie persönlich auch manche ihrer Arbeiten wirken, hollywoods Perspektive ist viel weiter. So singt sie keck zum Video: »This film is not about me. It’s everybody’s history … Who do you want to be?«

She thus in turn offers the possibility that we as an audience might make the leap between our own personal arena and that of an artwork.
In » everybodies history« hollywood similarly reaches back into her own foregone history via an animated interaction with family films from her childhood as though to unite the temporal disparity between » now« and »then« or to meld she who is portrayed and she who breathes. However personal some of her works may appear at first glance, hollywood’s perspective is conversely much broader. As she play-fully sings along to the video: "This film is not about me. It’s everybody’s history …
